POCKET CHAIR

Tim’s idea for a 3-legged chair as a metaphor for those who lack support.

Dearest Sofia,
What does Christmas look like for me? It looks like me sitting in a three legged chair with no one to call, nowhere to go, and nothing to do (but run around in that little carceral constructed hamster wheel.) - TY, December 14, 2025

I am thinking in terms of tight quarters, small spaces and the need to streamline. Thus, the solitary architect proposes chairs that have a cabinet drawer beneath them, nothing too bulky or misfitting, but, rather, something petite but functional. Yes. We shall call these chairs "pocket chairs," for the time being. What say you? Genius, or nah? °¿°

Pocket chairs should not only have drawers that pull out, but, also, drawers to where the face lifts up, and one can thereby reach into the cavity of the drawer to place or retrieve whatever they're looking for.

Pocket chairs can contain anything from kitchenware, silverware, and condiments, to knickknacks, magazines, and miscellaneous items. The pocket chair presents a storage option for any room or space to where chairs can be found, including outdoors.
